Russell Baylis is a professional architect with a big heart and a hankering for messing about on the water. Russell’s big heart played a big part in getting to know about an orphanage in Zimbabwe that took children in, looked after them and made them feel safe, cared for and part of a family.
Russell decided to enter the Devizes Westminster International Canoe Race marathon covering over 100 miles and taking some 4 days to complete to raise money to allow the Harvest Family Village to drill a borehole, install a pump and piping to bring fresh water to the children and the land.
We were asked to produce a film to support his fundraising endeavour and help to widen the reach of his efforts to raise more money for the children. Russell expected to raise around £2000 to donate towards the project, but with the help of this film and our own contacts to publicise his project, we raised £7000 which funded the project completely.
Well done to Russell and Harvest Family Village for all they do in this wonderful world.
